
Twenty-two members of the Tolland High School Music Department participated in the CMEA Eastern Region High School Music Festival which took place at Jorgensen Auditorium at the University of Connecticut on January 6 and 7.
Students were selected through an audition process which took place on November 5 at Woodstock Academy, which included students from 42 high schools in Eastern Connecticut.
Representing Tolland High School in the concert were Marissa Bedard, Erin Connelly, Ian Cook, Emily Elsner, Julia Gottier, Nicole Green and Denny May (band); Leonard Chiang, Meera Dave and Jake Gorsky (orchestra); Nicole Connelly and Matthew Della Camera (jazz band); Ryan Boutot, Anna Giangregorio, Sierra Jesanis, Kelsey Kaplan, Kristen Machuga, Alex Noonan and Karrington Trice (mixed chorus); and Kerrie Clancy, Gabrielle Hurlbut and Kayla Singleton (treble chorus).

These students now have the opportunity to audition for the All-State Music Festival on February 4. The festival will take place April 12-14 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
