The Tolland Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) has a regular voting member vacancy and an alternate vacancy. All interested Tolland residents can e-mail the Town Manager at swerbner@tolland.org for consideration for appointment to the positions by the Town Council.
The WPCA meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM and has a workshop meeting on the 3rd Thursday of the month. The WPCA and its members are responsible for the design, maintenance, approval and regulation of the Tolland sewer system as well as protecting the waters of Tolland as provided by state statute. The WPCA reviews designs and plans for the expansion of the existing sewer system in Tolland. The WPCA is required to maintain and keep the sewer system functional for all customers of the system and service. The WPCA also is tasked with the development of Town wide plans and regulations for the sewer system and individual septic systems to be compliant with state DEEP requirements.
