Drone Helps Locate Missing Person In Tolland: UPDATE
A heavy responder presence was in Tolland Monday as a search for a missing person was underway.

Tolland Town Manager Brian Foley said in an update Monday that the missing person has been found via a drone.
"First responders were able to bring (the) victim safely ashore. Victim is responsive and being transported for medical evaluation," Foley said. "Thank you to all the assets from surrounding towns who came to assist. Operation on scene wrapping up. Incident investigation in the hands of Connecticut State Police."
Original story: TOLLAND, CT — A heavy police and responder presence was in the area of Tolland Marsh Monday afternoon to search for a reported missing person.

State police, Tolland firefighters and additional first responders, converged on the Tolland marshland area and were "actively attempting to locate an individual," state police said.
"Information is limited at this time as the scene remains active. We ask the public to kindly allow investigators to conduct their work safely and without interference while we continue our search," state police said.

Tolland Town Manager Brian Foley, himself a former police officer, said water rescue and dive teams, drones, boats and police dogs have been deployed.
Tolland Fire Chief John. Littell confirmed the search was underway, but said he would not comment.
