Dari Farms to Lay Off 76 Employees
The Tolland-based business has filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the state Department of Labor.
Tolland business Dari Farms Ice Cream Distributors will be laying off 76 employees by March 4, 2013, according to a WARN notice filed with the state Department of Labor this December.
The layoffs will center in the business' Field and Transportation departments, according to a copy of the WARN notice. The notice cited Nestles delivery service to grocery stores as the reason for the layoffs.
The company is attempting to find employment for affected employees at Nestles.

Representatives from Dari Farms were not able to be reached for comment in time for publication.
