TOLLAND, CT — The historic Dr. Gilbert Preston Home in Tolland has gone on the market.
It sits at 714 Tolland Green and is listed, along with the other homes in the corridor, on the National Register of Historic Places.
The asking price, according to the online real estate portal Zillow, is $479,900. The home sits on a third-of-an-acre and features a four bedrooms and three bathrooms over 3,064 square feet.

"The current owners have lovingly renovated, updated and repaired this unique home from top to bottom, inside and out," the listing says.
According to Historic Buildings of Connecticut, the home was built in 1790 as a saltbox. After a fire in 1868, the house was rebuilt in the Italianate style by Dr. Gilbert Preston, who owned it from 1845 until his death in 1883.
