Loris Grabbing an Umbrella, Free Coffee in Tolland, Summer Camp (No, Really)

Good morning, Tolland! Today is Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday, party and party and party and YEAH! March 1, 2013; there are 304 days left in the year.

It’s late and I’m tired. So the young (and very thin!) Community Editor Jayme Kunze was kind enough to share this video of a loris grabbing an umbrella. Am I the only one who thinks it looks like a mogwai? Don’t get him wet, feed him after midnight, etc?

1. If you didn’t get enough free coffee last week at the new Between Rounds shop on Merrow Road, count your blessings for second chances. The shop is again offering free coffee on a Friday – this Friday. Stop by the shop today for your free cup of Joe.

2. Summer camp. Seriously. The notices have started to go home and emails from last summer’s camp directors are starting to flood in-boxes. Now’s the time to check out what’s available and Tolland Patch has you covered with this great collection of camps in the area. Check it out.

4. It’s not happening today, but today’s a good day to mark this down on your calendar: the Board of Selectmen and Board of Education are hosting a joint meeting on Tuesday, March 5, at 7 p.m. in the council chambers on the sixth floor of the Hicks Memorial Municipal Building. According to the notice on the town’s website, the purpose of the meeting is to “discuss BOE expenditure needs and Town revenue realities.”
