TOLLAND, CT — Tolland firefighters battled both cold weather and a house fire early Wednesday morning.

The incident broke out at about 4 a.m. on Robin Circle.

No injuries were reported and the family living at the home and its pets were safe, according to Town Manager Brian Foley. They were likely displaced and the American Red Cross was offering assistance, he said.

Foley said a chimney was the possible origin, but the local fire marshal was at the scene investigating.
