More food donations and personal hygiene items are needed.
The first batch of Tolland donations for Hurricane Sandy victims should head out to those in need early this week.
Volunteers sorted and boxed up the donations at the Fire Training Center this weekend. The Tolland Emergency Management Department is working with the Salvation Army to deliver the goods.
Emergency Management Director and Fire Chief John Littell said that they now have enough clothing, but are still in need of canned food and personal hygiene items.
