Pumpkin Paul's Transfers to New Owner

The former farm is now the area's newest addition to "Mike's Farm Stand," which sells local produce in Storrs, Bolton and now Tolland.

Owner Matt Hill said that he is excited to add the farm's popular strawberries and pumpkins to the variety of produce that will be available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day at the new stand.

Hill plans on maintaining the farm's tradition of strawberry and pumpkin picking, although he said he would consider adding blueberries and other produce to the 10-acre plot.

"Other than that, I just want to pick up where he left off," Hill said of former owner, Paul Peters.

The Tolland stand will open to the public on July 1, Hill said. The majority of the produce being sold there will be grown locally.
