The Tolland Lacrosse Club will be funding the team for at least two years.

The board of education approved the creation of a girls lacrosse team at Tolland High School during its Wednesday night meeting.
According to Superintendent William Guzman, the Tolland Lacrosse Club has offered to fund the team for its first two years of existence, paying the gap left after students submit pay-to-play fees.Â
It is estimated that in two years, the team's expenses beyond pay-to-play fee funds will amount to $4,707.04, to be paid by the Tolland Lacrosse Club. The club has already raised $6,000.
