State Police Issue Warning About 'Warrant' Scam In Tolland County
A new scam involves state police impersonators, law enforcement officials said.

TOLLAND COUNTY, CT — State police in Tolland County are warning residents about the latest scam regarding made up "warrants" that require a "bond" posting.
Officials from the state police Troop C barracks issued an alert about the scam Tuesday morning. Reports have come into the barracks about phone calls from scammers pretending to be a Connecticut State Police lieutenant, officials said.
Those answering the calls are met by a scammer saying, "A warrant has been issued for your arrest," state police said.
