Tolland Athletes Shine at Nationals
Seven THS students traveled to North Carolina last week to compete.

Tolland's track and field athletes gave laudable performances at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals last week, placing in a number of events.
Coach Corey Bernier  and the students traveled to North Carolina to compete from June 14 - 16.
Tolland's 4 x 800 Meter Relay team, consisting of Rachel Gedansky, Emily Howard, Kristin Carr and Kelsey Swanson placed 13th with a time of 9:28.21. Howard, Carr, Swanson and Katie Sprout also took the 12th spot in the Sprint Medley Relay event, with a time of 4:07.78.

Adam Boucher earned a 6th place spot in javelin throwing with a 183-09, and Katie Sprout broke a new school record for Tolland, clocking in at 1:05.03 in the 400-meter hurdles.
"This season, we couldn't have asked for anything more," Bernier said of the end of a notable season, including two state championship titles. "We had some great performances from both the boys and the girls teams."Â
