Tune into the 'Today' show this Friday at 10 a.m. to see Tolland resident Kate Mlodzinski and her family hang with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb!
Mlodzinski was selected as one of two finalists for the show's "Most Deserving Mom" Mother's Day contest.
"It's been like an out-of-body experience," Mlodzinski said. She and her family taped the segment in New York on Thursday, and were also filmed in Tolland last week.
Mlodzinski's lifelong friend, Gretchen Arnold, nominated Mlodzinski for all of her work with Adam's Adventure, a local group fundraising to build a handicap-accessible playground at Cross Farms.
"Hopefully the show will be great publicity for the playground," Mlodzinski said.
The group was created after her son, Adam, contracted bacterial meningitis in 2009 and was left blind.
