Tolland Police Blotter: April 1 - April 6

The following arrest reports, provided by Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland, are accurate as of April 1, 2011. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

April 1

Randy E. Williams, 40, of Ashland, MA, was traveling west on Interstate 84 near exit 68 when he lost control of his 2010 Chevrolet Equinox skidded and struck a tree. Williams was not injured. He was cited for traveling too fast for conditions.

Kenneth M. Fratus, 54, of Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failing to drive in the proper lane and failure to drive right. State police stopped Fratus on Interstate 84 west near exit 68. He was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Tolland County Superior Court on April 19.

Hieu Ta, 24, of 167 Blue Ridge Rd., Vernon, was charged with first-degree larceny. The theft involves the Superior Rental business at 1320 Tolland Stage Rd. Ta was held on a $30,000 bond and presented in Tolland County Superior Court on April 5.

April 7

Lance Roberts, 58, of 170 Hurlbut Rd., was charged with first-degree larceny and fraud by the computer or phone and second-degree forgery. He was arrested on a warrant, held on a $40,000 bond and is scheduled to be presented in Tolland County Superior Court on April 19.
