Tolland to Hold Vigil Monday for Newtown Victims

Town staff along with the religious leaders of Tolland met Sunday afternoon to discuss the tragedy that occurred in Newtown, CT on Friday. The enormity of the tragedy has affected almost everyone and has gained global attention. The Town of Tolland in cooperation with the Board of Education and our community’s religious leaders will be hosting a Community Vigil at Tolland High School on Monday night December 17, 2012. The Vigil will begin with a candle lighting ceremony outside the rear entrance of the school at 6:45 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own candles. A memorial ceremony will be held in the main gymnasium of the school at 7:00 p.m.
