Vacancy on Tolland Water Commission

From the Town of Tolland:

A vacancy currently exists for a position on the Water Commission. The position open has no restrictions except Tolland residency. It can be a member from either the customer base or an at large representation as a Tolland resident. The Commission meets monthly, routinely on the first Monday of the month with workshop meetings often called for the third Monday of the month.

The Commission oversees the management of the two interconnected but separate Town owned water utilities - the Torry Road/Skungamaug system and the main system south of I-84. Commissioners are responsible for establishing direction, setting policy, establishing administrative and fiscal policy, assuring consistency with State permits, statutes and regulations to include Town codes, contracting for operational and maintenance services, consultant studies, consulting services and overseeing the management of day-to-day operations.
