Veterans Recognition Commission Brings Awareness To Wartime Service Medal
The Commission would like to make area veterans aware of the Wartime Service Medal that is available for wartime military service.

From The Tolland CT Vets Recognition Commission: The Tolland Connecticut Veterans Recognition Commission would like to make area veterans aware of the Wartime Service Medal that is available to those Connecticut residents with qualifying wartime military service.
Eligibility: military wartime service, honorable discharge, CT residency. DD Form 214 will provide evidence of first two requirements; proof of residency during wartime service or now (example, CT driver’s license) must also be provided

A ceremony to honor Tolland veterans (current and past residents) and present Wartime Service Medals is planned for Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 2 pm at the Tolland Town Lodge, Crandall’s Park II, 124 Cider Mill Road. Application must be submitted to the CT VA by September 30, 2017 to be eligible to receive this medal at this program. A posthumous application for a family member to complete is also available.
