What Bills Have Tolland's Legislators Introduced in Hartford This Year?

So far this year, State Rep. Bryan Hurlburt (D) has brought forward two bills concerning background checks for tutors of minor students as well as the definition of "physically helpless" in cases of sexual assault.

Tolland residents can keep track of the bills Tolland legislators are introducing and co-sponsoring in Hartford using the Connecticut General Assembly website.

According to the database, State Rep. Bryan Hurlburt (D) is the only Tolland representative to introduce legislation so far in 2013. He has brought forward bills on:

  • Requiring criminal background checks for the tutors of minor children
  • Redefining the term "physically helpless" in regards to sexual assault to include those who cannot verbalize a lack of consent due to a physical or intellectual disability

State Rep. Tim Ackert (R) and State Sen. Tony Guglielmo (R) have not yet introduced or co-sponsored a bill in 2013, according to the database. Residents can also search bill records back to 1991.
