How should you dispose of an American flag that is beyond repair?
State Representative Tim Ackert, who represents Vernon, in collaboration with American Legion Post #52, invites residents to retire "worn" and "unserviceable" American Flags at two locations in the area.
From now until Thursday, June 13, Vernon residents may drop off flags at:
Columbia Town Hall; 323 Route 87;
Saxton B. Little Free Library; 319 Route 87;
Coventry Town Hall; 1712 Main St.; and
The Booth & Dimock Library; 1134 Main St.
