VERNON, CT — A fire fire in the building that houses the Vernon Youth Services department has temporarily displaced the agency.
Vernon Youth Services employees were working out of Vernon Center Middle School to begin the week.
Vernon officials said thge fire broke out at the 9 Elm St. building at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday night. The cause was a faulty de-humidifier, officials said. Power was shut off to the building, which is the primary reason for the temporary re-location, officials said.
