VERNON, CT — Vernon officially welcomed in the holiday season Friday night with the traditional tree lighting in front of town hall.

The Santa House also officially opened and the star atop the Fox Hill tower was illuminated to complete the drive-through light display at Henry Park.

The annual fire truck parade took place and the Rockville High School chorus supplied the caroling.
