Rockville High School senior Alicia Biske was recently named a Hood Sportsmanship Scholarship recipient.
Biske, one of three senior students in Connecticut to receive the award, will be honored with her $5,000 scholarship on Sunday, May 19, at Gillette Stadium, according to Vernon Public Schools.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, Biske had to meet a minimum 3.0 GPA, perform volunteer work in the community, participate in a varsity sport and display a high degree of sportsmanship while participating in said sport, according to the Hood Web site.
Biske is a member of the Rockville High volleyball team.
