Old Glory is proudly on display in Rockville.
The Rockville Downtown Association (RDA), recently purchased and hung 15 American flags on East and West Main Streets in Rockville, with the help of the Vernon Department of Public Works and Patriot Supply of Somers.
The new flags join 30 others that that can be found on telephone poles on six different Rockville streets, according to the RDA.

"Rockville is home to generations of Vernon/Rockville men and women who have proudly served our nation in the military and to the state's only Civil War museum," Lisa Moody, president of the RDA, said in a prepared statement.
"It's only right then that we honor our heroes and our heritage by flying our nation's flags throughout the downtown area," she said.

The flags will fly through Labor Day.
