Smoke Condition Prompts Response At Cornerstone

VERNON, CT — A smoke condition at Vernon's Cornerstone Foundation prompted a response from firefighters Tuesday morning.

A piece of equipment malfunctioned at the lower level of the Cornerstone Foundation on Prospect Street, prompting the smoke, Vernon Fire Marshal Dan Wasilewski said.

No one was injured and the situation was dealt with quickly, he added.
