VERNON, CT — Vernon went to bed Friday night with damage to Town Hall and local police are searching for the person who did it.

And the suspect himself has given investigators a lead.

The incident took place Friday evening, police said. A window was clearly broken during a visit Monday morning and it appeared the suspect was right near a surveillance camera when doing the damage."

A day earlier, Vernon police released a surveillance image of the suspect.

Said police, "Do you recognize this person? He was involved in damaging windows at Vernon Town Hall on the evening of Friday the 11th. We’re asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual in the photo below. If you have any information, please contact Officer Condon at 860-872-9126 x2024."
