Update: Vernon Police Close Case on Thompson Street Death
Vernon police identified the body found in what was originally called a "suspicious death." The death has been determined to not be the result of a criminal act, according to the police.
Vernon Police have determined there was no foul play involved in the death of a man in Rockville on Friday.
An autopsy was conducted on Saturday.
The deceased was identified by police as Cliff Carlson, 44. Carlson was a resident of a multi-family house at 15 Thompson St. - on the corner of Thompson Court and Thompson Street.

Police said Carlson lived alone in his unit on the second floor of the building.
Police originally said they considered Carlson's passing a "suspicious death." But the autopsy, performed by the state medical examiner's office, determined the death was not the result of a criminal act.

The State Police Major Crimes Squad was initially involved in the investigation, which began Friday morning.
Carlson was originally reported missing when he didn't report to work for several days.
He had worked in the area, police said.
