Vernon Resident Takes Prizes at Connecticut Invention Convention

Ryan McKiernan, of Vernon, was named a blue ribbon and Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering (CASE) award winner at the Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC) held recently at UConn's Gampel Pavilion.

McKiernan is a seventh grade student at CREC Two Rivers Magnet Middle School.

"It was an honor to win a blue ribbon and the CASE award," McKiernan told the Hartford Courant. "I was so proud of our school to have competed against over 600 students around the state, and to win so many awards," he said.
