Vernon Seniors to Help Students Read

Editor’s note: We published this story earlier in the week, but here it is again in case you missed it.

This fall, seniors in Vernon are going to be helping elementary school students read, reports the Hartford Courant.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program READS program is run by the Community Renewal Team and is still seeking volunteers.

The program will begin in October and volunteers will spend one hour a week helping students read.
