Community members are invited to learn five ways to make a home or business more energy efficient.

From Allnex:

WALLINGFORD, CT – Frank DiCristina, Site Manager at Allnex in Wallingford, recently announced that Allnex will host an Environmental Speaker Series, which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. at HUBCAP, located at 128 Center Street, Wallingford. With winter looming, it’s the ideal time to learn how to make a home or business more energy efficient. Allnex’s Operational Excellence Engineer Frank DeFelice will provide practical tips for energy conservation. DeFelice, who has worked at the Allnex site for 28 years, has led the implementation of numerous high efficiency lighting, high efficiency motors, and variable frequency drive installations that, since 2012, have contributed to a 4% reduction in energy usage for the site. He also was the lead engineer on the automation project for the Waste Water Treatment Plant, which improved control of the operation and helped reduce nitrate emissions by nearly 70%.

Allnex’s three-part Environmental Speak Series will continue on November 15 and December 1.
