Wallingford Resident Wins Big Lottery Prize

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford resident is $10,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at a local business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

On Monday, the Wallingford resident purchased a winning "10X CASH 18TH EDITION" ticket at Nisa's Variety and won $10,000, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The CT Lottery furnishes winner information as public record.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners' full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.

As of Oct. 1, 2025, the CT Lottery will no longer publish winners' names without their written consent, according to officials.
