Heat Wave in Wallingford Could Linger Through Friday

Temperatures will soar this week into the low and mid-90's, forecasters say.

Forecasters are calling for temperatures in the low to mid-90's all week long in Wallingford. Showers are possible on Monday and Wednesday but the rain is likely to provide little relief from the July humidity.

MONDAY:  Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 69. Light and variable wind.

TUESDAY: Sunny, with a high near 94. North wind 3 to 8 mph. Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Calm wind.

WEDNESDAY: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Chance of precipitation is 20%. Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.

FRIDAY: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Friday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
