Lyman Hall Wins First-Ever SCC Baseball Championship
The Trojans claimed their first SCC Baseball tournament championship with a thrilling extra-inning victory over top-seeded Amity.
WALLINGFORD, CT — The Lyman Hall baseball team won its first-ever SCC championship with a thrilling extra-inning victory over top-seeded Amity on Thursday night at Piurek Field in West Haven.
The second-seeded Trojans defeated Amity 5-2 in nine innings to claim the title.
Lyman Hall’s Scott Wentzell was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Wentzell pitched six innings of scoreless relief on Thursday night. He allowed one hit while striking out 10.
