Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration To Be Held In Wallingford
A celebration in memory of the life and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held in Wallingford.
WALLINGFORD, CT — A celebration in memory of the life and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held on Monday, Jan. 19 in Wallingford, Mayor Vincent Cervoni announced.
The event will take place at 10 a.m. at the Robert F. Parisi Town Council Chambers at Wallingford Town Hall at 45 South Main St.
“The program will include an artwork display, essays, and readings from Martin Luther King’s work provided by our Elementary, Middle School and High School students,” according to a news release. “Wallingford Public Library Director, Sunnie Scarpa, will read ‘Tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.’ and Elevate Life choral group will perform. The program is presented by the Town of Wallingford, Public Celebrations Committee and Wallingford Board of Education.”
