Obituary: Dolores “Dolly” J. (Klimas) Williams, 86, of Wallingford

Dolly loved spending time with family and friends, camping, a good martini and lottery tickets.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Dolores “Dolly” J. (Klimas) Williams, 86, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2022. She was the loving wife of Richard “Dick” L. Williams.

Dolly was born in New Haven, July 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Joseph Klimas and Anna (Kowalchuzk) Hamwyga and Walter Hamwyga.

She loved spending time with family and friends. Dolly enjoyed their camp in Maine, as well as a good martini and scratch tickets.

In addition to her husband Dick, she is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sally Williams of Raleigh, NC, and Rodney and Tammy Williams of Southington; her grandchildren, Michael, Emily, Matthew, Jessica, Katelyn, Nancy, Angela, Giancarlo and Isabella; her great-grandchildren, Mariah and Markie; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Williams; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Dorothy Papa and Dolores Delmolino.

Dolly was predeceased by her son, Mark J. Williams; her grandson, Mark P. Williams; her sister and brother-in-law, Caroline and Daniel Christopher; and her close friend, Sandy Papa.\

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 6th, from 9 to 10am in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext. A funeral service will be held at 10 am in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the: Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org/ct).
