Obituary: James A. Peracchio, 86, of Wallingford

Jim, known as a king and gentle man, proudly owned and operated Tri Corner Auto in Meriden for many years.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) James A. Peracchio, 86, of Wallingford, husband of Patricia Peracchio, passed away April 30, 2022 at his home, with his family by his side.

Jim was born in Meriden on January 24, 1936, son of the late Francis and Mary (Lugnie) Peracchio.
Jim owned and operated Tri Corner Auto in Meriden for many years, until he retired.

Jim loved animals and was always surrounded by his two- and four- legged friends.

Growing up, he had a pet chicken, two ducks, and lots of dogs and cats. His cats, Ollie and Sonny, were by his side when he took his last breaths.

Jim loved trips to the shore and eating seafood, often taking day trips with his wife to enjoy both. Jim was a kind and gentle man who never forgot a birthday. His favorite pastime was telling the most inappropriate jokes at the most appropriate times.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his daughter, Marybeth Danby (Kevin); his sons, James, Michael (Corinne) Peracchio, David (Tracy) and Richard (Wendy) Gade; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth (Mesinti) Peracchio and his brother, Frank.
Jim’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Beacon Hospice for their incredibly loving care during the last few months of his life.
