Obituary: Walter "Walt" Toelle, 80, of Wallingford
Walt was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, retired steel mill worker, devoted husband, loving father and an all-around good guy.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Walter “Walt” Toelle, United States Navy Veteran, retired steel mill worker, loving father and all-around good guy, gave up the good fight Monday, April 25 @ 11:55 pm.
He was the devoted husband of Linda (Tucker) Toelle. Walt was born June 6, 1941 in Wallingford to the late Clayton and Ester Toelle.
Walt was a barber, seamster and machinist for the U.S. Navy. After his discharge he joined Allegheny Steel where he spent his days until retirement. While his nights and weekends depending on the season were filled with boating, fishing, skiing and dance, all activities he raised all his children to enjoy and excel at.
Later in life, after the passing of his beloved wife, Linda, he continued to enjoy singles dances where he met his lovely fiancé, Joannie Sykora, the two were smitten and were well known in the surrounding communities.
Besides his fiancé, Joannie, he is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Stuart and her husband, James; his sons, Mark Toelle and his wife, Cori-Lynn and Christian Toelle and his wife, Kimberly; along with their daughters, Chloe and Phoebe; his daughter-in-law, Sandy, widow to his late son, Wayne Moody.
He is also predeceased by his wife, Linda, his brother, John and his wife, Jean.
All friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life luncheon for Walt on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from noon until 4 pm (Elks Ritual to commence at 1 PM) at the Wallingford Elks Club 148 South Main Street.
