The station, located at North Cherry and Parker streets, is "part of the new Hartford Line that will provide rail service between New Haven, Hartford, and Springfield, MA beginning in 2018. The project is part of a statewide effort to transform Connecticut's transportation infrastructure to drive economic growth and improve quality of life," according to a release from Wyman's office.
The $569 million Hartford commuter rail line project will more than double ridership and increase parking, Malloy told The New Haven Register.
