Sleeping Man In Corvette Arrested On Drug Charges: Wallingford Police
Police responded to a report of a man passed out inside a Corvette.
WALLINGFORD, CT — A Meriden man was arrested on drug charges after being found asleep in a Chevy Corvette in Wallingford on Friday, according to police.
Police responded around 6:20 p.m. on Aug. 22 to the area of Tractor Supply at 800 North Colony Rd. on the report of a man passed out inside a Corvette.
Officers found that the lone occupant appeared to be asleep inside the vehicle. He woke up after officers knocked on the window, according to police.

Police said officers “noticed contraband inside the vehicle, and K-9 Kip, along with his handler, responded to the scene.”
A search of the car yielded narcotics and paraphernalia, according to police.

The 48-year-old Meriden man was arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after posting a $10,000 bond with a court date of Sept. 5.
