The 12-year-old girl received a surprise celebration at a local car dealership to unveil the granting of her Make-A-Wish, officials said.
HAMDEN, CT — A 12-year-old Hamden girl’s “Make-A-Wish” came true with the help of a car dealership in Wallingford.
Quality Subaru partnered with Make-A-Wish Connecticut to surprise Chloe, who has a blood disorder, after helping to grant her life-changing wish for a “cheer cave” basement makeover during a celebration at the retailer’s showroom, according to a news release.
Chloe thought she was going to look at cars with her family, but was instead surprised by family, friends and community members, Make-A-Wish and Subaru partners, with a cheer-themed party to celebrate the granting of her wish.

Approximately 27,000 children are diagnosed with a critical medical condition each year, according to Make-A-Wish, which also shows research that a wish can lead to better health outcomes and a higher chance of survival. The granting of this wish is just one way Quality Subaru is committed to supporting the health and well-being of the community, according to officials.
"We are incredibly thankful for the ongoing support from Quality Subaru,” said Kris Moran, Director of Marketing & Communications at Make-A-Wish Connecticut. “Thanks to our community partners, we are able to transform lives in the community, one wish at a time.”
Quality Subaru is one of a dozen Subaru retailers across the country helping to grant children’s wishes over the span of one week as part of a national “Week of Wishes” initiative to make a lasting impact to wish children, their families and entire communities. Through the annual Subaru Share the Love® Event holiday campaign, more than 600 Subaru retailers across the country partner with Make-A-Wish to help support children and families impacted by critical illness. Since 2011, Subaru of America and its participating retailers have donated more than $32 million, helping to grant more than 3,300 wishes in the U.S.
