Wallingford Native Named New Swimming Coach At Cheshire High School

The hiring was announced this week.

CHESHIRE, CT — Wallingford native David May has been hired as the new head coach of the Cheshire High School girls swimming team, according to the Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports May succeeds Matt Traub, who left for a coaching post in Florida after three seasons with the Rams. May was Traub’s assistant coach last year.

May, who was a standout swimmer at Notre Dame-West Haven, has also been an assistant coach with the Cheshire YMCA's Sea Dogs where he won two national championships as a youth, according to the Record-Journal.
