Wallingford Resident Named NE-10 Track Athlete Of The Week

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford’s Patrice Mansfield, a junior on the Southern Connecticut State University women’s indoor track and field team, was named the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the final week of the regular season, officials announced earlier this week.

Mansfield, a Sheehan graduate, had quite the day at Yale's Giegengack Invitational. She placed 2nd in the 60m Hurdles, running a personal-best time of 8.71. That beat her previous best of 8.88, and is the top time in the NE10 this season. It also ranks 25th in all of Division II.

She also placed 32nd in the 60m Dash with a time of with a time of 8.07.

Mansfield and the Owls will look to defend their 2024 title at the 2025 Northeast-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, Feb. 22 and Sunday, Feb. 23.
