Wallingford Schools Food Service Negotiations Stirring Up Controversy

WALLINGFORD--The Wallingford school district's food service negotiations are stirring up a hot debate.

The Wallingford Board of Education authorized the superintendent of schools to enter into negotiations with a food service company, The New Haven Register reported.

The school district will open negotiations with a food service contractor about the possibility of taking over the school cafeteria food programs across the district, according to the Register.

The district's current food service employees, who are employees of the school district, expressed anger about the move.
