Community Dance Ensemble Announces New Members for 2025–2026 Season

The Quaker Hill–based nonprofit continues its mission of bringing dance to diverse audiences throughout New England.

The Community Dance Ensemble - based in Quaker Hill, CT. - recently held auditions for the 2025-2026 season. The following dancers from southeastern Connecticut were selected for the performing company: Hope Fagan, Lana Green, Abigail Grundy, Ava Grundy, Hadley Huebner, Sabrina Johnson, Amélie Kydd, Emily Mooradian, and Kay Williams.

Under the direction of Maggie and Nancy Dennis, the Community Dance Ensemble is a non-profit concert company dedicated to bringing dance to diverse audiences across New England. The ensemble frequently performs for charitable and community organizations including hospitals, nursing homes, senior centers, veterans’ homes, and community events. This season, the company will continue its commitment to service by performing at the Family Halloween Festival at Mitchell College and providing holiday concerts at senior centers and nursing homes throughout Connecticut.

The CDE has also performed at the Shriners Hospital, Ronald McDonald House®, Walt Disney World® Resort, Hershey Park, and the Garde Arts Center. CDE dancers also participate in a wide range of professional development activities, traveling to attend professional concerts, conventions, and special educational opportunities such as the Rockette Experience at Radio City Music Hall, classes at Broadway Dance Center, and master classes with dancers from Broadway musicals such as Billy Elliot, Tarzan, and Hairspray.
