Expect Cohanzie School and Seaside Development to Come Up at Tonight's RTM Meeting
Neither item is on the agenda but both are likely to come up during the public comment portion of tonight's 7:30 meeting at Waterford Town Hall auditorium.

Although neither item is on the agenda, both the demolition of Cohanzie School and the developer's request to make Seaside a special taxing district are likely to come up at tonight's Representative Town Meeting (RTM).
Kathleen Reagan, who is mounting a last-ditch effort to save the school from demolition, is urging people to attend tonight's meeting to let their feelings be known. Unless someone has $800,000 to buy the building, said First Selectman Dan Steward, the chances of saving the historic school building at this late stage are slim.
The Seaside proposal came up at the last Board of Selectmen's meeting, which was well attended by nearby residents who oppose creating a special taxing district to accommodate the developer. The town has fairly bent over backward to meet the developer's requests thus far, with zoning changes and the like. Yet, 12 years on, there's still no progress on the site, which remains in state hands as the buildings continue to fall into disrepair.
The RTM meets tonight at the Town Hall Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
