Expect Queues on the Q Bridge And a Sunny Saturday
Traffic and weather for Waterford this weekend

Weather.com is predicting a mostly cloudy Friday with showers but, here's the good news if you're planning to attend any of the many outdoor events scheduled for tonight, it should be dry this evening.
The hourly forecast suggests that rain will taper off and we'll see the sun at about 7 p.m. until it sets. Temperatures will be cooler again today, with a high of 78 degrees and an overnight low of 67 degrees. The chances of rain drop from 40 percent during the day to 20 percent tonight.
The weekend forecast suggests Saturday will be the best day to plan anything outdoors.
Saturday: Mostly sunny with just a 10 percent chance of rain, a high temperature of 83 degrees and a low of 70 degrees.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with the possibility of scattered thunderstorms and a few showers. There's a 40 percent chance of rain. Temperatures will reach a high of 81 degrees and a low of 71 degrees.
Traffic Delays
Expect worst delays than normal on I-95 in the New Haven area starting today and continuing through Monday. The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced construction activities for the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing from Friday, July 26 to Monday, July 29.
Traffic is being shifted onto the new I-95 southbound lanes of the Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge. Motorists are being advised to expect significant delays southbound as construction takes place between Exit 50 (Lighthouse Point) to Exit 46 (Sargent Drive). The roadwork will also cause delays at the I-91 Southbound connection to I-95 Southbound.
