Flood Advisory for New London County

The scattered thunderstorms predicted for today arrived with a bang and they're bringing some very heavy rain with them. The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for New London County until 1:15 p.m. 

In North Haven, a weather spotter reported half an inch of rain in half an hour. Overall the storms could bring up to two inches of rain, which could cause local streams to overflow. Minor flooding could occur in both low-lying coastal and urban areas.
