Let us help you plan your weekend! Here are a few events happening in Waterford and beyond.

Our weekend preview for what's happening in and around Waterford includes Fireworks and Fun at Celebrate East Lyme, Farmers Markets, and a Gala and plays galore at Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford.

Saturday, July 20

Gala and a Play: The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center will hold its annual Summer Gala in the Sunken Garden on the theater’s grounds in Waterford. The evening will begin at 6:00 pm with cocktails and silent auction, followed by dinner and special program honoring key and longtime supporters of the O'Neill; Rita, Myron, Ruth and Stephen Hendel.

Today's play will be a reading of All the Roads Home by Jen Silverman at Rose Barn Theater 3:15 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Celebrate East Lyme: A sandcastle competition, a carnival, multiple stages for music, an eating contest, dunk tank, battle of the bands, activities for kids, a raft race and vendors galore, are part of Celebrate East Lyme on Saturday. The schedule includes fireworks but if the weather doesn't cooperate, the display will be rescheduled for Sunday. (No one wants a repeat of New London's foggy firework fiasco.)
