1. What's The Weather?Β Today should be sunny and dry, with a high of 78 degrees and an overnight low of 61 degrees, according toΒ weather.com. There's a 20 percent chance of rain overnight but the forecast is calling for mostly clear skies.Β
2. Municipal Meetings
- Waterford Board of Selectmen meets tonight at 5 p.m. at Town Hall.
- Waterford Shellfish Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall. In case you missed it, the state is asking people to be careful when handling or preparing shellfish now that water temperatures are rising.Β
3. This Old House, Battered By Sandy:Β An information session aboutΒ newΒ federal disaster relief funding from the National Park Service to help fix Sandy-damagedΒ historicΒ and archaeological propertiesΒ will be held at 7 p.m. at Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library,Β 2 Library Lane, in Old Lyme.
4. Volunteer to Help:Β It's not too late to get involved in Waterford Week.Β The finalΒ volunteer meeting for Waterford Week will be heldΒ 5:30 p.m. in the Waterford Community Center. All help is greatly appreciated!
5. Life is a Cabaret:Β This is the final week of theΒ O'Neill's summer cabaret festival.Β This evening,Β Donna McKechnie presentsΒ Same Place: Another TimeΒ at the Eugene O'Neill Theater, 305 Great Neck Road, Waterford, 8 p.m.
