The 10th Annual Kayak Regatta on The Niantic River

Save the River, Save the Hills will hold its 10th Annual Kayak Regatta this Saturday, starting  with a 9:30 a.m. launch from Three Belles Marina in Niantic heading to Sandy Point. 

The regatta parade up the Niantic River will set off at 10 a.m., with the Goshen Fire Boat on hand just north of Sandy Point. Race winners get bragging rights but there will also be prizes for best decorated kayaks.

There will be music from the Denise and Tony Band at Comfort Point and local politicians will speak about the importance of conservation at 11 a.m. There will be free clam chowder from Flanders Fish & Free Hotdogs from The Dock at noon at 47 Oswegatchie Road. The event is free and open to everyone. Kayak rentals are available from Three Belles Marina.
