The latest news from Waterford Police Department's Facebook page.
On Saturday, the Regional police boat saved a man who had jumped into the water, thinking he could swim across the Thames river. The East Lyme and Waterford officers on board happened to be in the area while training a new boat captain, and were able to pluck the man, who was not wearing a life vest, from the water, about 200 feet from shore.
Excellent work by East Lyme Officer Hallbauer, And Officer Spearrin and Detective Sergeant Depasquale from Waterford PD!
